Ravenshaw Chemistry Alumni Association (RCAA)
RCAA is a vibrant organisation of the alumni constituted in 2007-2008. This organisation from its inception has stood firmly with the department. It has extended all kinds of support for the growth of the department.
RCAA has constituted different awards to encourage students in their studies as well as research. An annual function of the association is held every year with active participation of members in which students of a particular batch is felicitated.

INFRASTRUCTURE
The Department of Chemistry also well equipped with a wide range of sophisticated analytical instruments such as 400 MHz NMR Spectrophotometer,FESEM GC and GCMS,Infrared Spectrophotometer(for solid,liquid & gaseous system),three UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, Cyclic Voltameter,Microwave synthesizer,Plasma reactor,potentiometer,pH meter,HPLC,fluorimeter Tensionmeter,Lyophilizer Drug dissolution apparatus and other instruments such as compression moulding machine,injection moulding machine,blow moulding machine and tensiometer.
The research laboratories of all faculty members are also well equipped with computer,printer and scanner having internet facility.The Department has 20 personal computers,two xerox machine,two LCD Projectors,Projector and air-conditioner.Around 35 research scholars are working in the department regularly under guidance of different faculties and each year and each year five to six students are getting Ph.D awarded.
The seminar library is having a modern look possessing computers,printers with internet facility.It possesses a good number of text books,reference books and research journals for the use of faculty and students.
ACTIVITIES
- 16th Annual Function 2020
The function was held on 16th February 2020. The meeting was presided by Prof. P. K. Mishra, Hon’ble Justice of the Odisha High Court Sri A. S. Naidu was the Chief Guest of the occasion.
